Caps Buy Dick Larner From Salt Lake City

Vancouver Capilanos acquired a new pitcher Friday—a right-hander from Salt Lake City named Dick Larner.
Larner was purchased by Capilanos general manager R.P. Brown at the minor league winter meeting in Columbus, Ohio.
He won 13 games and lost seven last season with Salt Lake City of the class C Pioneer League. He was in the Western International League with Yakima in 1950, winning 17 games.
