BOISE, Idaho, Jan. 2—John Brkich, who pitched for Victoria Athletics of the Western International League last year, has been signed by Boise Pilots of the Pioneer League.
Pilot owner Maury Doerr said Wednesday that Brkich, only 19, was an outstanding semi-pro player in British Columbia before turning professional a few years ago.
