Seal Sullivan Going to Vancouver

Caps Sign New Pitcher Via Baseball Draft
[Vancouver Province, March 13, 1952]
Bob Brown acquired a young right-handed pitcher for his baseball Capilanos today, courtesy of the U.S draft.
The youngster is John Sullivan, whom the Caps general manager bought from San Francisco under unusual circumstances.
The Coast League team recalled Sullivan, who racked up a 8-11 pitching record with Medford of the Far West League last season, after that Class D circuit folded.

WILfan note: this is the complete story and it seems to be lacking in explaining the "unusual circumstances."
