LEWISTON, Jan. 20—Directors of the Lewiston baseball club Sunday selected Bill Brenner of Yakima, Wash., as player-manager for the 1952 season. Salary was not disclosed.
Brenner, 31, is an eight-year veteran of the Western International League and has been in professional baseball for 11 seasons. He was general manager of the Yakima Bears, who finished fifth in the league last season.
Brenner said he would move to Lewiston within three weeks. His first job will be lining up material for spring training.
