WIL SCHEDULE LONGER, PLAYOFFS IN ‘52
[Vancouver Province, Feb. 13]
With no playoffs scheduled this year, the Western International League regular schedule will run 10 days longer in 1952, Vancouver Capilanos general manager Bob Brown said today.
The season will run from April 22 to Sept. 14, as against a Sept. 4 close in 1951. Top four teams will split a playoff pool.
The schedule, approved by president Robert Abel after mail revisions by the clubs, sees Vancouver open at Wenatchee April 22 and finishing at home. First home date will be April 29.
