Lewiston All But Officially In

Lewiston Club Welcomed to Ball Loop
LEWISTON, Idaho, Jan. 8—The Lewiston baseball club has selected a business manager and has been welcomed into the Western International League by president Robert Abel of Tacoma.
Bill Leuschel, 29, a life-long resident of this area, was named business manager,
Abel told directors he felt the league had successfully weathered every conceivable storm and now was in a position invulnerable to destruction.
He said Lewiston’s plan to purchase the Tacoma franchise in the league should prove advantageous to this area. And he pointed out that the community is situated “out of the the shadow” of television and radio broadcasts from larger cities.
