Caps Out On Deal For Seals
VANCOUVER, Sept. 6, 1951—Vancouver hasn’t got a chance to obtain the San Francisco franchise in the Pacific Coast League although Seals owner, Paul Fagan, is closing shop.
“San Francisco is the second-best franchise to our own in the league,” Emil Sick, president of Seattle Rainiers, parent organization of Vancouver Capilanos, said today.
“Paul Fagan is committed to carry on or sell to someone who will. This will all be straightened out before long. I am afraid there isn’t a chance the franchise will be transferred.”
