Vancouver Capilano general manager, R.P. Brown, plans to examine personally the baseball situation in Alberta, and report on it to the Western International League’s winter meeting.
Brown said today he plans to visit Calgary and Edmonton this fall for an on-the-scene report on pro baseball prospects in these two cities which in mid-season this year electrified WIL officials with an announcement they wanted to be in the league.
“I want to see what kind of parks they have there,” Brown said, “and also, just what the feeling is, whether or not they are serious about getting into our organization.
“I also hope to do some pheasant hunting,” he added, apropos of nothing.
