Wheeler Bids for Wenatchee Ball Job
WENATCHEE, Oct. 22, 1951—Eddie Wheeler, former Pacific Coast infielder with Portland Beavers, has applied for a job as player-manager of the Western International League Wenatchee Chiefs.
“Wheeler assured us he could play in 100 games next season, one of our requirements for the job,” Mayor Arthur Pohlman, president of the club, said Monday.
