Bevens Back in Bigs

Two Ex-W.I.L. Players Sent to Majors in Draft

The Western International League has sent two former players to the major leagues during the annual major league draft at Cincinnati yesterday.
They are Big Floyd (Bill) Bevens who had a 20-12 record with Salem Senators last season and catcher Joe Rossi of Portland, who played with Spokane during the 1950 season.
Bevens and Rossi will be teammates on the Cincinnati Reds.
Seventeen minor league players were picked up by 11 big league teams.

SALEM, Feb. 2, 1952—Floyd Bevens, who was 20 and lost 12 with the Salem Senators last season, has signed with the Cincinnati Reds.
