Padres Purchase DeGeorge, Faber
SAN DIEGO, Calif., Sept. 16, 1951—The San Diego Pacific Coast League baseball club Sunday announced purchase of pitcher Sal De George and centre-fielder Dick Faber from Salem of the Western International League.
De George led the league in earned run average.
San Diego, which is terminating a player-exchange agreement with the Cleveland Indians, is believed moving independently to build up next year’s team.
