WENATCHEE, May 25 — Lewiston split a pair with the Wenatchee Chiefs Sunday, 2-5 and 3-2, to take their Western International League series by a 3-2 margin A brisk breeze whipped singles into doubles in the opening 23-hit slugfest which lasted only an hour and 20 minutes—the shortest game on record at Recreation Park.

SALEM, May 25 — Tri City scored a single run in the 5th overtime inning of a scheduled seven-inning game to blank Salem 1-0 in a Western International League series opener here Sunday night.
Salem won the second game 8-3.
Olney Patterson came in with the lone run after he had walked to first and been sacrificed to second by Frank Mataya. Ralph Romero, Tri-City pitcher, singled to left field to score Patterson. First Game
