SALEM, July 13—Salem won both ends of a Western International League baseball doubleheader with Tri-City here Sunday, 3-0 and 2-1.
Vic Buccola scored Tri-City's lone second game run in the fifth inning. He singled and was advanced on a sacrifice and Tom Marier's single.
Salem, which had scored in the second inning, won when Gene Tanselli in the walked 10th and scored on Manager Hugh Luby's single.
In the first game Pitcher Ted Edmunds shut out Tri-City on seven hits.

YAKIMA, July 13 — Coming to life at mid-season, the Yakima Bears picked their apple country neighbours, the Wenatchee, Chiefs, as their victim Sunday, leveling the Chiefs on both ends of aa Western International baseball league twin-bill, 2-0 and 10-2.
The Bears broke a no-no tie in the last of the third with a six-run attack that sent five runs across the plate.
Bill Steinberg led off with a stinging triple and scored on Mike Donahue's
double and Donahue romped home on another double by Chuck Malmberg for the first,
two tallies. A walk and successive singles by John Albini and Dario Lodigiani furnished the ammunition for the other three runs.
