VICTORIA, May 23 — Ben Lorino blanked Tri-City Braves 4-0 on seven hits here Friday nigth as the front-running Victoria Tyees retained their Western International League lead.
The win was the second in a row in the four-game series and the 10th in 13 home games for the Tyees.

VANCOUVER, May 23 — Vancouver Capilanos shaved the Salem Senators 6-5 Friday night in a Western International League baseball game which lasted 11 innings over three hours and five minutes.
An error by Salem shortstop Tom Galli paved the way for Vancouver's winning run in the 13th. Ray Tran got on base and Jim Wert brought him in with a two-out single, winning the game for relief pitcher Bill Whyte in front of his home-town crowd.

WENATCHEE, May 23 — The Wenatchee Chiefs jumped on three Lewiston pitchers for six runs in the first inning Friday night to take a 12-1 Western International League baseball decision from the Broncs.
Charlie Oubre went the distance for the Chiefs as he marked up his fourth league victory without a loss. The defeat went to Lewiston starter Cal Humphries who took the trip to the showers before the 844 fans had barely settled in their seats.
